Working Supervisor

SUMMARY OF ROLE
Reporting to the Directors you will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of a building project. Enjoying a competitive hourly rate/salary, you will also manage and lead other members of the construction team.
Multi-skilled experience would be preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Day to day management of operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints.
• Ensuring the timely management of any unforeseen delays.
• Ensuring that weekly progress reports are completed and issued to a Director.
• Ensuring that sites are managed to the highest possible standards of Health and Safety. This will include checking and signing off RAMS from subcontractors and compiling RAMS for the Company’s direct works.
• Monitor progress against the Master Programme with the Director in charge and develop staged and sectional programmes as required.
• Liaise with the Contracts Manager/Director regularly to ensure that labour and sub-contract resources are adequate and within the budgets set out in the CVR.
• Carry out regular tool box talks to the site teams and sub-contractors.
• Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff
• Requisition all materials, oversee all deliveries and ensure that procurement is managed strictly in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.
• Effectively communicate with the Design Team to ensure the timely release of design information.
• Supervise, manage and motivate all members of the site team including sub-contractors to ensure that they are engaged and on target with the master programme.
• Ensure workmanship and material standards are achieved in accordance with specifications, building regulations, health and safety legislation and quality standards.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all day to day activity related to the project to encourage good record keeping and to ensure traceability.
• Control and monitor site waste in accordance with the Company’s Site Waste Minimisation & Management Policy.
• Create and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholders.
• Undertake all relevant training and development activities as required.
• Assist in the recruitment and selection process as and when required.
